Today on Health & Longevity, Dr. John Westerdahl presents Part 1 of a two-part radio broadcast series, ‘Vegetarian Diets – The Position of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’. The popularity of plant-based vegetarian diets is increasing due to the growing interest in healthier eating, environmental concerns, and animal welfare. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (the world’s largest organization of professional nutritionists and registered dietitians) has recently released and updated its position paper on Vegetarian Diets. Dr. Westerdahl, presents this position paper, discussing the latest scientific and evidenced-based research on vegetarian nutrition.
