One of my favorite authors wrote these words, “It is a part of God’s plan to grant us, in answer to the prayer of faith, that which He would not bestow did we not thus ask.” Great Controversy, page 525.

Whatever your need or desire God is ready to listen. God cares. God loves you. Someone said that prayer is the key in the hand of faith to unlock heaven’s storehouse. Prayer is vital to the life of the Christian. Prayer is a necessity because it provides us with the Divine protection we need in order to survive in this evil world.

No matter what happens here in this life, never let go of the fact that God loves you. God’s love is not dependent on circumstances, it’s doesn’t change when we change or when we walk away from him. God’s love is unending, unselfish, and unconditional. If we would only believe that, our prayer life would be a greater blessing not only to ourselves but to others. Prayer doesn’t change God, it changes us. Prayer does not bring God down to us, but prayer lifts us up to God so he can be the wind beneath our wings. Why not bow your head in prayer right now and say, “Thank you God for loving me.”
