The debate between evolution and creationism has continued for decades. It seems the arguments today are no more valid now than a hundred years ago. Why is the theory of evolution so persistently promoted in the academic arena and the broader world of history and science? Creationism believes in Intelligent Design where life and the universe were created by a benevolent God. Evolution believes that different kinds of living organisms developed and diversified from earlier forms during the history of the Earth. Dr. John Kurlinski and Dr. Stan Hudson, both with degrees in science, host a program that takes a lighthearted look at the issues surrounding creationism and darwinism. The title, Sink the Beagle, is derived from the fact that in 1831 Charles Darwin began a journey on the H.M.S. Beagle during which he formulated his theory of evolution.
