Do miracles still happen? Yes they do! Do you believe God still protects those he loves and their property? Yes He does!
It’s been a very, very dry season in much of the country, but especially around Yakima, WA where our original LifeTalk Radio station KSOH 89.5 FM is located. In August, a lightning storm came through the area. As a result multiple wildfires were ignited. This forced the power company to shut down the power to the entire region in order to avoid causing additional fires. As a result, on Saturday evening we received notice from our engineer that KSOH was off the air.
The following day power was restored, and our concerned radio engineer was allowed to go to our tower location where we have a container filled with all the broadcast equipment for KSOH. Miraculously, he found that the wildfires had burned within just a single foot from our container which housed thousands of dollars worth of broadcast equipment. It’s as if the Lord said to the fire, “This far, but no further! The angels of God were stationed around our station, not allowing the flames to advance.
In making an assessment of possible damage, our engineer discovered that during the fire the temperature gage inside the broadcast container recorded temperatures going up to 145F degrees. But since the power was off to all the radio equipment, and the angels of the God were watching over it, NONE of our broadcast equipment was damaged. Praise the Lord!
The only damage found was a blown fuse to the outside portion of the air conditioner unit. On normal days this unit is needed to keep our equipment cool and functioning. Our engineer was able to quickly find a replacement fuse and he got everything working properly again.
Because of God’s mercy KSOH was able to come back on the air at full power, lifting up Jesus to all our listeners in that area—broadcasting the Good News of salvation in Jesus, and connecting people with Christ. We rejoice and are so thankful for His protection over KSOH.

The photos taken by our engineer show how the fires came very close to the KSOH radio broadcast equipment. Notice there is still a bit of unburned yellow grass in front of our station container. It’s like God said, “This far, but no farther!”
